The Belgian Society of Paediatric Haematology-Oncology (BSPHO) would like to thank the National Lottery for its continued support since 2021.
For the fifth consecutive year, the National Lottery is supporting BSPHO’s activities. In 2026, this support once again contributes to the Paediatric Late Effects (PLE) project, a national initiative coordinated by BSPHO in close collaboration with the Belgian Cancer Registry.
The PLE project focuses on improving the long-term follow-up of children and adolescents treated for cancer in Belgium. By systematically collecting and structuring treatment and outcome data, the project enables the delivery of individualised treatment summaries and personalised long-term follow-up recommendations for survivors, supporting continuity and quality of care over time.
The current extension of the project (2026–2027) builds on previous achievements by expanding the cohort, updating late-effects data, and supporting clinical and scientific research on late effects after childhood cancer.
With the support of the National Lottery.
