This policy brief provides updated recommendations regarding the management of children and AYAs facing cancer in Belgium based on the analysis of gaps and needs. It results from fruitful consultations and discussions with various experts and stakeholders active in this field as part of the corresponding Belgian Thematic Working Group (TWG) on C-AYA launched within the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan (EBCP). It aims to inform the civil society and advise policymakers.
It is important to continue the dialogue to support optimal decisions regarding the implementation and the development of care dedicated to this specific population, as close as possible to the realities of the Belgian ground.
